Here is a sneak peek at one of the freshly designed wedding invitations. It will make its debut at the National Stationery Show! I am so looking forward to showing off the album of wedding and mitzvah designs. The finishing touches are being made on the album today and then it is officially complete!

This design is flat printed on shimmery white card stock and backed with a luxuriously textured beautiful sky blue that is sort of Tiffany-ish blue but not exactly. This is absolutely one of my favorites. I know. I’m not supposed to pick favorites. But it’s true. I LOVE this one.

All the new designs will get added to the show after they make their big debut in NYC. Soon soon soon!

Sometimes a little less is just right.

So I designed an entire collection of invitations that are simple and beautiful and just right for a bar mitzvah. They are printed on luxurious white linen card stock and are on a single layer. No extra fuss cause sometimes that’s just not what you want and no extra postage required. One less thing to think about! If you want a reply set and maybe some extras like a directions card or other enclosures, they are available to match.

When you are planning your wedding the BEST advice ever is to just be yourself. Don’t give a thought to what you think you should be doing or what everyone else is doing. If you like ocean-y aqua-y blue and orange and brown - then that’s what you like! We can make it work for you. And the entire wedding planning and day will be wonderfully beautifully you. You will shine and your family and friends will have the time of their lives!

Yes, there are some rules of etiquette that you will most likely want to follow. And I fear that trendy choices mightnot stand the test of time. You don’t want to cringe when you look at your wedding day photos in 10 years!

But if you follow your heart and choose things that feel just right, you can’t go wrong. So have a little fun with all this!

The greeting cards have been refreshed and edited and are looking pretty good! Pretty and good.

The notes sets and minis are cuter than ever and I can’t wait to send them out into the world. Adorable and sweet and elegant and fun. Just exactly as they should be!

The albums are being assembled CONSTANTLY. They are being shipped as fast as we can get them perfectly put together. I have to say that the albums have been the BIGGEST learning curve for me and until I conquered them I felt like things were really being held back. BUT not anymore. I am beyond happy that I’ve just about earned my MBA in albums and am about to graduate from album grad school. Just kidding - but really that’s what it’s felt like.

Letterpress printed invitations on 100% cotton luxurious card stock. It gets me every single time.

I love the mix of the old fashioned and the modern.

Old fashioned: 100% cotton paper (so soft and luxuriously thick and textured) and printing method (the first method invented to reproduce text it’s mechanical and very hands on).

Modern: stylishly beautiful aqua ink and clean lines of the type and design on the square invitation.

I love that you can see and feel each letter that is part of the invitation pressed into the paper.

I love how the simplest design is taken to the next level by the letterpressed ink.

Hot pink and orange!

Sorbet and strawberries. Oranges and smoothies. Super cute manicures and pedicures. Frozen yogurt and mangoes. Fresh new lip glosses and adorable t-shirts.

My Fabulous Famous Smoothie

1/2 c plain yogurt
1/2 banana
1/2 orange
3 strawberries
some chunks of mango
5 raw almonds
3 ice cubes

Blend till smooth. Pour into a big glass. Enjoy!

Lots of new things are happening here in the studio. In addition to getting ready for the National Stationery Show which is a BIG undertaking and never gets easier, we’ve added two more incredible people to the team in the studio. Slavica and Virginia are blowing me away with their energy and excitement. Plus I love the little fashion show that every day is around here now. I have to get some photos and show you how cute these girls are every single day. The BEST part is that things are really getting done around here now. I LOVE it and I know it will help you get everything from us faster and beautifully.

This random photo is a new design that was just added to the Holiday album. I am beyond happy with how the album has shaped up and can’t wait to ship it out next week. Hurray!!!!!!

The first thing your friends and family see when you send them a note or an invitation is the envelope. Of course! So make it cute and fun, or sophisticated and fun, or elegant and fun.

1. Choose a stamp that coordinates with the stationery or your personality or the event.

2. Choose a great pen to write your addresses. Pick one that you love to write with (you know how some pens make your handwriting look great and others are just eh?). Go with one you have fun writing with. Some people like ball point ink, some prefer gel. I love sharpies - the thin ones. But there is no right or wrong pen, just choose one you like.

3. Choose the write ink color for your pen. If you have a white envelope then any color dark enough to be read easily (so it gets delivered correctly and promptly) is great. Choose a color that coordinated with the stationery or your mood. Have fun with it!

4. If your envelope is darkish, I think gel pens in a lighter color or a metallic ink are perfect. You might also prefer to write on a label that is placed on the envelope instead. Either solution is a good one.

5. Don’t forget to put your return address on the envelope! I provide personalized coordinating return address labels with every note set and party invitation - it’s included in the design for you. Cause who doesn’t like stickers!

I know you know EXACTLY how I feel. Soooo much to do. Everything needs your attention and preferably right NOW! See. I knew that you would know. When this happens (and it happens far too often in my book!) Istop and take a tea break. Well, sometimes it’s a Diet Coke break, but I’ve been trying to not indulge in that stuff so much anymore. So usually, lately, it’s a tea break.

I was on a field trip to Anthropologie with Samantha with the goal of finding the most PERFECT tea cup for my tea breaks. I was envisioning a beautiful yet sturdy and LARGE ceramic mug. Like a gorgeous in a very humble sort of way Emma Bridgewater mug. But Samantha found this pretty and elegant and OVERsized porcelain tea cup and so that HAD to be the ONE. And I never looked back.

Sometimes I fill my pretty tea cup with earl grey or English breakfast with a splash of milk, but today it’s simply green tea with mint. I hope you’re doing something nice for yourself today too.

And the part of this that I don’t think you should be doing at home is this… Don’t put your cup of tea near your stationery! You could really end up crying over spilled milk if you do.

Lots of business happening behind the scenes here. Catalogs (YES! Catalogs!) are being created, new order forms were completed today (at LAST!), new designs are being designed in my mind faster than I can get them printed on the new super duper recycled card stock that we will be switching to for all the greeting cards and other lovelies that this paper is fabulous for.

I can’t even find the time for anything else that I’d love to do lately. Like go for one of my extra long and brisk walks with my ipod playlist keeping me MOVING. And meeting a friend for lunch. I am so sorry that I just could not make it this time! And about 100 other things that I’d love to be doing right now.

But the truth is there is nothing else that I’d rather be doing right now than working on the invitations and note set orders that are sitting on the clipboards waiting to be designed and creating lots of new and FUN things too.
